ARDCO buggies are recognized as the standard by which other geophysical equipment is measured. In fact, there are over 2000 ARDCO machines operating in just about every region of the world where seismic crews are active, including: the Americas, Middle-East, Asia, Eastern-Europe and North Africa. The most popular configuration for seismic work is the K 4x4 drill buggy and the K 4x4 water buggy. Base specifications for the K 4x4 platform and popular options are shown below:

ARDCO Model C-1000 Seismic Drill

• MAST: 16’ Welded Tubular Steel for use with 10’ (3.1 meter) drill pipe
• ROTARY: ARDCO heavy-duty Top-Head drive rotary assembly, hydraulically driven through 3” ( 7.6 cm) wide straight tooth gears with a 5.923 : 1 gear ratio.
• TORQUE: up to 700 lb. ft (950 nm) speed 300 rpm (optional Torque to 1200 lb. ft. (1628 nm)
• DRAWWORKS: Two Continuous #80 1” (2.5 cm) roller chains actuated though a Ramsey 35X speed reducer. Pull-UP or Pull-Down: 6,000 lbs (2,722 kg). Speed to 100’ (30.5 meters) per minute.
• PIPERACK: Heavy duty pipe storage rack located on right side of drill unit.
